'Wear Again' Bridesmaid Dresses

“And you can wear it again!” If you’ve been a bridesmaid, you may have heard this phrase from the bride. But let’s be honest: most bridesmaid dresses will never be worn again. They will hang in a closet until they are donated or thrown away. But it doesn’t have to be that way! Designers are currently making beautiful, classic, elegant bridesmaid dresses that can be worn to the altar and then to a cocktail party; there’s no reason why the bride should choose a 'wear once' bridesmaid dress. According to the 2006 American Bridal Study, the average cost of a bridesmaid dress was $147. I can speculate that the average has increased in the past four years. If you’re anything like me, you would rather spend $175-$250 on a dress you can actually wear again. Below are some great short bridesmaid dress options carried at Something White that can be worn again and again and again. And don't forget we offer a flat $25 fee for standard bridesmaid alterations when the gowns are purchased in our shop. Perhaps you should forward this post to your bride and urge her to choose one for you!
