Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a six pence in her shoe. Almost all brides have heard this old Victorian good luck wedding custom and most brides try to incorporate it into their wedding day. There are a lot of ideas floating around as to why blue was integrated into this rhyme but I like the thought, that in ancient times the color blue was a sign of faithfulness and loyalty; two traits I believe a bride wants to exude on her wedding day. Shoes: More and more brides are starting to opt for shoes that do not match the color of their dress, so why not go for blue. With each step you take down the aisle, this lucky color will peek out from beneath your gown!
