Something Blue: Lingerie

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a six pence in her shoe. Almost all brides have heard this old Victorian good luck wedding custom and most brides try to incorporate it into their wedding day. There are a lot of ideas floating around as to why blue was integrated into this rhyme but I like the thought that in ancient times the color blue was a sign of faithfulness and loyalty; two traits I believe a bride wants to exude on her wedding day. Here is an idea on how to incorporate this lucky color in your wedding:

Lingerie: Who says that your wedding day lingerie has to be white? Shake things up a bit and incorporate the something blue tradition with blue undergarments. Be sure to choose a pale blue to avoid any problems with the blue showing through your gown.
