50s Housewife Bridal Shower

One of our brides was recently thrown a 50's housewife themed wedding shower. Of course as soon as she told us about it we just had to know more - and lucky for our readers she shared pics and details we could pass along to you - thanks Heather!!

The menu included 50's classics like jello, deviled eggs, and punch with sherbet in it. Yum!

Of course guests should be encouraged to dress the part - pearl necklaces are a must!

For entertainment the guests filled in a portion of "The Good Wife's Guide" from a 1955 edition of Housekeeping Monthly a la Mad Libs. To get in on the fun yourself simply remove key nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs and have the crowd fill them in. Then of course treat them to a reading of the whole piece by the bride. She has a lot to learn after all :)

Thanks again for sharing Heather- your shower looks ADORABLE!!
