Bridesmaid Dresses in Just the Right Color

One of the first decisions you will likely make when wedding planning begins is selecting your colors. Once you have the color you can get started on all of the items that will highlight your selection, one of the most noticeable of which is your bridesmaid dresses.

Finding coordinating colors can be tricky though - especially when you are trying to match a fabric swatch, to paper, to flowers, to icing. However the new line of Pantone colored bridesmaid dresses by Alfred Sung, available from The Dessy Group (and Something White of course!), solves this problem by offering the gowns in Pantone colors.  By selecting a Pantone color you will have a common color language that you can share with your other vendors. And, the dresses in the Pantone collection are rather fetching to boot!

  1. I find that when trying to pick bridesmaid dresses, a lot of people go for the conservative white or peach color. Is it taboo nowadays to go with the hot pink bridesmade dress?

  2. Thanks for the comment Debbie - as far as I'm concerned, when it comes to picking colors the sky is the limit. It's your wedding after all and your colors and bridesmaid dresses should be representative of your personal style. Aside from avoiding something cringeworthy for the sake of your maids I say go for it. Or, if you are hesitant, you can incorporate hot pink in the dress (sash, flower pin, etc.) without choosing it as the primary color. Good luck! Karin
