Fall 2013 Collection from Ivy & Aster

The ladies at Ivy & Aster never disappoint and their new collection was no exception. Can't wait to have some of these beauties at Something White!

More Steven Birnbaum

If last weeks post about the latest from The Steven Birnbaum Collection left you wanting more check out this video of the fashion show. Sadly Rebecca and I were sitting just off camera on the right or you would have also been able to spot our excited faces!

New Collection from Steven Birnbaum

Our first stop at New York Bridal Market (where we see our designers' new collections and choose gowns for Something White) was the Birnbaum & Bullock fashion show to check the latest from The Steven Birnbaum Collection. Unfortunately I got off to a bit of a rocky start since I thought the show started at 11:30 rather than 11 and then got dropped off at the wrong address by my cab driver. I arrived sweaty and breathless along with some other late-comers including Martha Stewart's Darcy Miller (Rebecca was desperately trying to send me "play it cool" signals in the elevator as I recounted my crazy morning). Fortunately the show hadn't started (something tells me the held the show for Darcy rather than us SW gals...)

 

Worth all of the effort it took to get there - we were blown away by the new collection:

When we went to our appointment to take a closer look I thought it would be helpful to see the dresses on a person - luckily I talked Rebecca into playing dress-up.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The other buyers thought so too because before we knew it Rebecca had a crowd and was even asked to try on some gowns from one of the collections we don't carry  - what a good sport!

 

 

Hope you ladies are as excited about the new gowns as we are - we will let you know when we have them at Something White!

New Dessy Dresses

The next designer to give us a sneak peek of what's to come at October's NYC Bridal Market is Dessy and chiffon seems to be the name of the game with their new dresses! We love chiffon for it's lightness and how it flows but what we also love about these dresses is the hint of sparkle in a belt or on the shoulder. Nothing too much (you know us we like minimal glitz) but just enough to add interest. These dresses will arrive in late 2012 or early 2013, be sure to "like" us on Facebook to get all the up to date information!

 

New Alfred Sung Dresses

It's that time of year again when we prepare for New York Bridal Market and start choosing new dress samples for the shop! First up is Alfred Sung, they always give us a sneak peak before we actually head to New York and we are pretty excited with what we are seeing! These new dresses should be in our shop by early 2013 if not a bit sooner. Keep checking Facebook for updates, I'm sure we will make a big splash when they start to arrive:)

Oh and this is also the time of year when dresses are discontinued, so if you have your eye on a certain style give us a call (216-447-9620) and order it by October!

 

At Long Last: Ivy & Aster Spring 2013

Take a deep breath ladies - you about to get a look at the lovely new collection from Ivy & Aster. Which ones would you like to see at Something White??  I don't know how we will make up our minds!!

Ivy & Aster Sneak Peak!

If you were in the shop when we pulled up this Ivy & Aster sneak peak you would have heard our squeals of delight! How amazing is this dress?! And it doesn't have to be just a wedding dress, I'm thinking rehearsal dinner, or anniversary or just a fabulous frock to have in your closet for when you need something special! I think I will be purchasing this one for myself!

It's that time again, New York Bridal Market starts this week, which means new designs from our fabulous designers! And below is a sneak peak from one of our fav designers, Ivy & Aster! I'm LOVING the sleeves and I know our brides will too since sleeves have definitely been popular this year. I can't wait to see more!

Bridal Market Update: Ivy & Aster

With so many adorable dresses to choose from it was hard to pick which ones to add to our permanent collection at Something White. Lucky for you ladies we will have the entire Spring 2012 collection available to try on at our trunk show in a few months!
