Our Bride

The Couple: Katie & Chris
The Gown: The Brownstone by Lela Rose
Photographer: rad photography

Katie and her family just might be the most adorable and sweet family we have ever worked with. Every time they left our shop, Karin and I would gush about them and discuss how EVERY person in the family had amazing style, especially Katie. So it's no wonder Katie chose the beautiful, classic and elegant gown by Lela Rose to walk down the aisle in. Below are some of her wedding pictures from rad photography- I mean doesn't she look like a model?! Congratulations Katie and Chris your day looked beautiful!

They could all be models!
Love how the green Alfred Sung bridesmaid dresses look!
Could they be any cuter?!

This Just In!

We are so excited to get our new sashes in from Ivy & Aster!  We have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of these romantically intricate sashes and can't wait to start trying them on with our gowns. Here's a sneak peek:

Another Great Dress

If you've ever visited our shop then you know Karin and I aren't really into sparkly wedding gowns, we prefer interesting cuts/fabrics and beautiful laces to sequins and glitter. However, as I was perusing my favorite wedding blogs this morning I came across this dress on Style Me Pretty and it made me swoon. It has just enough sparkle with the sequin flowers to make it glamorous and I love the high back with covered buttons. It reminded me a lot of our "Callie" gown by The Steven Birnbaum Collection with its keyhole/notch collar and sleeveless silhouette. Of course when I looked at the credits the gown was made by Birnbaum and Bullock, the high end bridal line designed by Steven Birnbaum and Robert Bullock. Oh how those gentlemen make beautiful gowns.

Need Wedding Event Fashions? Rent the Runway

Although they may not realize it at first, most brides will come to the conclusion that wedding fashion extends beyond the white dress on the big day. On the way to the aisle there are engagement parties, showers, bachelorette parties and rehearsal dinners to contend with. While it is by no means necessary to buy something new for each occasion, the bride will find her self as the center of attention and thus will be striving to look her best.

This is why I was so excited when my sister got me a gift certificate to Rent the Runway for my birthday. If you have not heard of this site before you should definitely check it out. They offer designer fashion for rent, allowing you to strut your stuff in style without breaking the bank:

Here's how it works:
- Select the date you need a fab outfit for, and see what outfits and accessories are available.
- Choose your size - bonus RTR send you one size smaller as well just to make sure you get something that fits
- If you are unsure about the selection you can add a second look for only $25 more - yippee!
- The day after the event, put it into the prepaid envelope and send back - it's like Netflix but with clothes :)

Intrigued? Check out Rent the Runway here. Happy browsing :)
