Individually Designed Gowns

One of favorite things about designer Caroline DeVillo is that in addition to her gorgeous couture gowns she also offers an ID Collection. ID stands for Individual Design. Here's how it works: the bride gets to choose the bodice style, skirt style, and fabric to create her ideal dress. The customization doesn't stop there. Next the bride can add lace, buttons, sashes etc. The end result: a totally unique dress that meets all of the brides must haves.

Boutique Bridal Bazaar Fashion Show

Of course for us one of the highlights of the day was the fashion show in which we got to show off our gowns. To sweeten the deal Rebecca and I even participated as models, because who doesn't want a chance to wear a wedding dress and get your hair and makeup done? We invited some of our past brides to wear their dress again (I was in this camp) making the show a bit sentimental as well.

Our Bride

As you can suspect we LOVE getting wedding day photos from our brides! It's so nice to see them with their hair and make-up done, holding hands with their husbands and looking amazing in the gown they chose from our shop! It doesn't get much better than that- at least for us:) So you can imagine our excitement when we received wedding day photos from Ashley in her beautiful, mermaid Caroline DeVillo "Madeline" gown and Lenora Dame jewelry. She looked beautiful and we couldn't believe her pictures were taken in Disney World at the Animal Kingdom! Congratulations Ashley!

Katie and her family just might be the most adorable and sweet family we have ever worked with. Every time they left our shop, Karin and I would gush about them and discuss how EVERY person in the family had amazing style, especially Katie. So it's no wonder Katie chose the beautiful, classic and elegant gown by Lela Rose to walk down the aisle in. Below are some of her wedding pictures from rad photography- I mean doesn't she look like a model?! Congratulations Katie and Chris your day looked beautiful!

Morgan by Vineyard

Yet another adorable wedding where the bride wore "Morgan" by Vineyard Priscilla of Boston. I love how this bride took a more vintage route with Morgan, wearing a birdcage veil and using bright reds for her bridesmaids and her toes. Just a friendly reminder, since you can no longer order Morgan we have a sample of her for sale!

We LOVE Lindsey with her silk taffeta fabric and full (yet flattering) skirt and we are sad to see her go, but look at the way this bride wore her- off the shoulder! We just love how moving the straps down your arm a few inches can totally change the look of the gown. Which way do you prefer- on the shoulder or off?

Runway Report: The Steven Birnbaum Collection

We love the "preppy-chic" / "tomboy gets married" vibe of The Steven Birnbaum Collection. The new collection we viewed at New York Bridal Market did not disappoint!
