We love the story of how Melyssa stopped into our shop to look at a bridesmaid dress and ended up falling in love with a wedding gown! But we're not surprised, Ivy & Aster's Sweet Pea is amazing with it's velvet swiss dot and starburst bodice. Each time Melyssa came by our shop, Karin and I would get giddy from hearing all her wedding details and now that we see her wedding photos we're pretty sure you will be giddy too. Her wedding details were TO. DIE. FOR! I mean check out her ceremony backdrop and braided hair- love. Congrats Matt and Melyssa we wish you all the best!

Blush Colored Wedding Gowns

Blush colored wedding dresses continue to be popular and are starting to become a staple in the bridal world. But we've had a few girls ask what color bridesmaid dresses they should pair with a blush colored gown. Our answer: anything you want but to make the bride really stand out you might want to consider having your girls wear white. That's right we said white, the idea of reversing the traditional color combo (bride in white, bridesmaids in color) will have a similar affect and make the bride stand out more. Just look at the photo below from Martha Stewart Weddings.
